I already miss my brother. He really is an amazing person. A thousand times more patient than I. He puts up with a lot that I could never. I hope he has the opportunity to leave home soon. He deserves it more than I do, but I know that isn't his personality. After this vacation with some truly idiotic teenagers, I realize that he has an excellent head on his shoulders. The only quality he is missing is the drive to go after what he wants. Ultimately, that's one of the biggest differences between the two of us.
Living at home with him for a year was really nice. He definitely made the transition home much friendlier. Especially with all the crap that went on with Ong Ngoai, without him there I think I might have gone crazy. As soon as he's 21, I'm flying him out to NYC to show him how to live.
